Difficult Dogs to House Train and Dog Poop

     Don't laugh. If you are thinking about getting a dog or already own one these are serious subjects. Training a dog is not easy and some breeds are more difficult than others.  House-breaking a dog requires patience and if you have one of the following breeds, your job will be even more difficult! 
    Dachshunds are great dogs, but they are famous for being hard to house train. They are a highly intelligent breed. I know because we had one when I was a kid and she knew a dozen tricks, was smart and adorable. She was housebroken, but I do not know how my dad accomplished it. 
     West Highland White Terriers, Jack Russell Terriers, Maltese, Havanese, Pomeranian, Yorkshire Terrier, Pekingese, Husky, Bichon Frise and Cocker Spaniel round out the list.
